General labor, no experience starts at $15

    Skilled starts at $20+

    Foreman $25+

I have pretty stringent requirements though, dont hire just anyone

    Is that just landscape installs?

I am a crew leader for lawn maintenance and I only get $16/hr. It's not a bad wage, enough to live on in the summer with 40 hours overtime ;) Winter, not so much.

This will be my last year though, I am going to start my own business. No, not another lawn company, but a company to help other companies hire effectively.

Yes, that's for installation. The only maintenance we do is mulching, trimming.

Where I'm at in MA (central) for a starting wage as a laborer I've seen companies at as little as $9.50phr for barely any experience up to $13. Experience can start you at between $13-$20phr. Those with special licenses or large equipment experience can start $20-$25.

I think the average would be 12-15per hour for a good laborer. Foreman will do 20-25 pending on performance.
