got an exmark 52 in ztr. need opinion on blades? no megamos
Woo.. if it didn't come with blades, probably should take it back to the dealer and let em know they forgot something. The mower is supposed to come WITH the blades.
Does it have a motor?
ok jackasses. i want to buy more sets of blades. what r u guys running? highlift, standard, mulching, etc?? maybe i should have explained myself more for the slow people
haha, I am running standards... Congrats on your mower, you will love it
High lift came standard on mine. The stock blades are not bad and the price is ok $11-13 each at the dealer. J-Thomas has some pretty good blades uner $9 if you buy enough. I use high lifts exept for fall leaves. I need the lift.
Person wouldn't have to be so slow if they had the whole question and all the information with the first post.
What type of mowing do you do?
Will you be mulching? No need to buy mulching blades if you are not mulching. Are you going to be bagging? Highlift blades are normally designed for bagging, an agressive high lift can be rather HP robbing.
Do you have alot of sandy soil that you mow over? A standard blade with a flatter wing will wear better in sandy soil than a blade with a sail.
High lift excalabers.
But seriously......, I usually use two standards then a high lift on the discharge side. I get a little benefit of higher vacumn while not losing too much HP.
On the new mower, I've been using regulars so far.
