    today I did this:
    1. 2hr. cleanup/cut.
    2. 1hr. light cleanup/cut
    3. 2hr. cleanup/cut
    all with 1 helper@15$ hr.
all within 2miles of my place, and all within 5 minutes of each other.

    I didn't gross 900$ today. lol

When I bid these one time jobs I bid them in blocks of time. We don’t do 1 or 2 hr jobs for one time customers.

    2 man crew
one full day or 1/2 day, plus disposal

    One man crew
One full day or 1/2, day plus disposal

You must work at the speed of turtle or do massive yards. I’ve only done one job this year that took half a day and it was 3 acres. And I was having a bad day that day. My mower battery was dead that I had to boost off several times and I forgot to load my 8500 blower and only had a 400 Stihl. I probably could have done it in 2 hours if everything went smooth. I’ve never done a cleanup that took all day solo.

Then either you are booked up or missing out on work with that method. Solo my good days are $1000+ ok days are 800ish. Just depends on if I can squeeze that extra smaller job in before it’s too dark.

dang, is Staunton part of the DC beltway?

knocking down a grand a day is good coin solo.

    I can't do that here.

3+ hours away! No where near the new California these days. Those are 9-10 hour days busting ass to make $1000. The big guys here charge $45 pmh if that tells you anything.

That’s obviously less than what we like to make but where else can you get paid $33 an hour just starting out?

After taxes and overhead I make more at the FT job with benefits. It did help pay the bills though. I could get it done in 40ish hours now but I would be double the price and they don’t like paying over $25 ph. Lol
