Doing a sizeable planting job over the last three days, 3 houses in a newer development near me. The first house we are at decided to add a bunch of perennials (on top of a bunch of other stuff we already planted) and a larger rock wall. 2nd house decides they would like an additional 11 trees (we planted 33 already) and want all beds edged and remulched and will want the entire lawn redone soon after all the work is complete. While working there we have been visited by a bunch of other nieghbors interested in having work done. So all in all its been a good couple days!!!!:cool2: :cool2:

congrats on the bankroll LB !

give the customer a fair shake tho, ain't nothin wrong with lots of perennials.
(do liriope, pachysandra, or hemerocallis do well in your neck of the woods?)

the ultimate goal of mulchbeds should be to give plantings a good start in living soil media retained by mulch, for the plantings to eventually overtake the mulch....not for the frigg'n landscaper to come back each Spring and install boatloads of mulch! If they want border waves of color, that's a different story, of course.
