Grass in ornamentals.

    G williams posted he uses Finale and watch out for the drift. Finale might just be a safer product because it is a contact kill instead of the systemic kill of round-up. Therefore if it does drift or get over sprayed on to a woody ornamental it only kills the leafs and not the plant. What ever product or system you use it is important to find one you like and stay with it. The label tell a lot but not everything. The more we use something the better we understand it, the better it works for us.

    I mix Roundup with Pennet( pre-emerge) for general weed kill

    Manage for sedge, broadleaf, and over the top of certain ornamentals

    Fusilade for over the top to kill grass only.( someone told me to mix it stronger than label rate for better kill. But that is against the label law)
