    Gravely® Announces GIE+EXPO Prize Winners

—A total of more than $12,000 in equipment will be distributed to recipients—

Six lucky winners from the 2013 GIE+EXPO held in Louisville, Ky., will receive new Gravely® equipment including an Edger, XD3 21-inch self-propelled mower, Pro-Trim string trimmer, BBC commercial 21-inch mower and a grand prize Gravely Pro-Turn 148 commercial zero-turn mower.

“This year’s GIE show was a huge success. The show is a great time to meet current and prospective customers and showcase the wide range of commercial equipment we offer,” says Brian Anundsen, commercial product marketing manager for Ariens Company.

The winner of the Gravely Edger was Will Harvey of Lawn Force One Landscape in Beach Grove, Ind. The Edger, valued at $519, adds the ideal finishing touch to a lawn. It features a 110-degree rotating pivot head, allowing the operator to cut, trim, bevel or edge along curbs.

Jeff Elshoff, a Michigan State University student of Morrice, Mich., won the Gravely Blade Brake Clutch (BBC) XD3 21-inch self-propelled mower valued at $493. The BBC version allows the engine to run while the blade is stopped, allowing operators to easily move obstacles or empty grass bags while mowing.

The Gravely Pro-Trim 22-inch string trimmer went to Dustin Fussnecker of Ripley, Ohio. With a 15-degree rotating deck, the trimmer works in tight spaces, and the reinforced steel pivot head and 14-gauge stamped deck give added durability.

Susan Dunphy of Grapevine Staffing in Creston, Iowa won the Gravely Commercial 21-inch mower. Valued at $1,459, the Commercial 21 delivers superior quality and performance. A die cast aluminum deck with steel wear guards ensures longevity, and a rear-wheel drive, three-speed transmission allows operators to adjust mowing conditions with ease.

The winner of the grand prize Gravely Pro-Turn 148 commercial zero-turn mower was Derek Wells of Wells Lawn Care in Bloomington, Ind. The Pro-Turn 148 is valued at $8,299, and features a 48-inch deck and 22hp Kawasaki FX691 engine. It also includes a full suspension seat with lumbar support, ensuring a comfortable ride with minimized vibration.

Booth attendees could sign up to win prizes in Gravely’s indoor and outdoor booths. For more information visit
