Has anyone tried a little wider tire to help with turf tear? Or a different tread pattern than stock? I am running 9 psi, can I go lower safely?

I think we run 12-14 lbs., don't really have a problem. Wet or damp turf is easy to tear.

I have a toro 300z (34" rider) and i dont like the small drive tires and i was wondering the same thing. i have lowered the pressure and that helps but i still lose traction more often than i would like.

i just put on a set of 18 x 8.50 x 8.0, up from 18 x 7.50 x 8.0, now they stick out beyond the deck width about an inch and a half on each side. i will let you know how they work.
