New in the biz...just wanted some input from you guys. I'm comparing the gravely 44z vs. hustler mini-z 1942. I know both are good and I love both dealers. I'm looking for lowest maintainence and toughest built. And does any one know the msrp on the mini-z? Thanks.:cool2:

I like my gravely 44z alot. Bought it two years ago and it is still running like a champ after 300 hours. Great machine at a great price.

I have a 23/52 mini-z. It is an amazing machine. Easy to work on and maintain. Also the support from Hustler and my local Hustler Dealer are Great. I compared the Gravely and the Hustler when I first looked to buy my first z-turn and picked the Hustler hands down. A buddy of mine has the 19/44 and loves it. I highly recommend it.

I see both down here and the guys who run them like em. I would think it comes down to price if dealer support is not an issue. Probably can't go wrong with either one.

I Have A Gravely 44z For A Trim And 2nd Ztr About 350 Hrs On It. I Like My Gravelys!! I Don't Have A Hustler Dealer Around Me. Have Never Seen One! I Would Look For Best Dealer Support. Who Has A Demo! Talk To All The Lawncare Guys In Your Area. Ask Who They Like And Why? If Your Buying A Small Ztr. Save Your Money! Get A Used One! Alot Of Lco Will Buy One. To Turn Around And Sell After Two Years! Do You Need To Go Through Gates? If You Don't. Buy A Bigger One For The Money. If You Have To Finance

I don't know anything about Gravely's but Huslter is a very simple easy to maintain machine that is built very heavy. I hear they cut great in Southern grasses and are very popular in the deep south such as Florida. I have a Super Z and about the only complaint I have is lack of lift from the deck which shouldn't be an issue for you down there. Not the best cut in fescue.
