I have found a couple used gravely mowers on craigslist, but am pretty unfamiliar with the brand and could use some advice. One is a ZT2342HD with 50 hours, 42 in deck and 23 hp engine. The othe ri s a 152Z with 100 hrs. 52 in deck and 23 hp motor. Any thoughts as to market value of either of these mowers?

Not sure about the market value, without seeing them. However, the 2342 is an average quality homeowner machine that will last a long time is serviced and properly cared for.
The 152Z is a top of the line, heavy duty commercial mower that will last the average homeowner a LIFETIME.
The new cost on a 152 would have been about double the new cost of the 2342.
I used to be a Gravely dealer. The 152Z is an excellent machine. The 2342 is so so.

Thanks. The asking price for the 152 is 4800, and the pics look really good/clean. Honestly, it is a little big for what I need, but it sounds like it might be the way to go.

Not yet. He is about a 2hr drive from me. Planning to go Thurs or Fri, unless someone beats me to it. Then I guess I'll break out the push mower again.:walking:

We have a 152Z with the 23 hp Kawasaki engine. It is an awesome mower. We mostly run Walkers and Exmarks, but the guys love the 152Z.
