I have a chariot jr 48" cut with a kawasaki 17hp motor. It's a little under powered for me and bogs down on hill and semi tall grass. I was looking at bigger motors and saw the Briggs 27hp professional vtwin.

    A. Is this a good motor?
    B. would my hydro pumps and all hold up with it?
    C. Would it be hard to switch from a kawasaki to a Briggs?

You need 27hp for a 48"? I would think 23hp would be plenty

Yea and prob cheaper lol. Do you think it'd be hard to switch out the motors though? I just know the 17 is diff to small for the yards I mow. It just has no backup power I guess you could say. It does fine in short grass and flat yards but add thickness and a hill and forget about it.
