After the shoulder of the grinding wheel has become rounded is it ok to take the wheel off and use the other shoulder? I know that this will change the rotation of the wheel, but don't know if this would be a safty issue, or not good for the grinding wheel.

After use of the MAG-9000's grinding wheel - the wheel will become dressed or wear to a 45 degree angle, because the angle of approach to sharpen a blade with at MAG-9000 is 45 degrees.

After you have worn the wheel to the blotter, you may turn it around to use up the wheel as completly as possible. There is no safety concern with running the wheel in one direction or the other.

It is perfectly ok to try and get the most out of the wheel!

So in short - yes - go ahead and take the wheel off and turn it around after you have worn out one side.

    Thank you
