I have a yard with dead grass though the yard, mixed in with the green grass. There is much more green, but a significant amount of "brown" dead grass. It appears to be grubs. I pulled up a piece of the dead part, but didn't see anything but dirt underneath.

My plan is to dethatch the lawn, apply an anti-grub treatmeant, re-seed and fertilize.

Can someone give me some advice.
What else could cause this browning grass?
How long should I wait before I re-seed the lawn?

Thanks
