So I'm looking for a way to establish a good winter income and a way to gather more lawn clients and I figured gutter cleaning, power washing, and window washing would be a good add on service. I already do gutters and powerwash, and I figured why not wash the windows while I'm there too.

I know how to price gutters, but really don't know much about windows. I see guys saying $5-10 per window on here, but is that just exterior, does that include washing screens, are bay windows counted separately? my goal is $100/hour on gutters and $60/hour on windows. I want to do this for residential and commercial and gain some more maintenance accounts through this. I don't want to sub this out either.

What are the best ways to advertise this as well? I was planning on using my Business Facebook Page, Craigslist (I would put my baseline prices on there to prevent people that want work done for free calling), and telling my current customers. I don't want to pay to advertise for this, but if someone has had good results with mailers or door hangers, I might do it.

Oh my last question is what are the best tools and products yall use for windows?

To clean windows I use a squeegee & cloth window scrubber on the end of a pole. I also keep a razor to scrape off any tape, debris, etc. for the liquid I use water with a couple drops of dish soap. Get the scrubber wet and go over the whole window with it. Then squeegee off the water, starting with the top corner working across/down. Dry the squeegee with a dry towel as you go.

I assume people would want the inside and outside washed, but I don't really know. I have no experience with residential window cleaning, I do restaurant cleaning.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I changed my mind on the window cleaning a bit. I may do residential windows when I do those gutters, but I turned my attention to commercial accounts that I can also do the maintenance for as well. The good thing is I don't have to make as much profit on maintenance if I can do the windows. Like offer a discount as long as the use me for both services. If I get canceled on one then discount goes away.
