Does anybody clean out gutters? What is the best way to go about it. I have a guy who wants his gutters cleaned out. He wants his downspouts cleaned as well. Just looking for suggestions on the easiest way to get up there and do it.

Powerwash at the lowest pressure speed, as the work is getting done!

Just put a ladder up, depending on the pitch of the roof you can either walk it or not. Clean out the "Eavestrough" (as we call it up here) by hand and put the crap in a bucket, pore the bucket into a garbage bag. Once all the big stuff is out, spray it out with a hose, if a downspout is plugged and lightly banging on the downspout dont' work it loose, I take the spray gun off the hose (I have to kink the hose first, or turn it off) then I shove the hose done the spout like a roto rooter. ONce In a while I have to take the elbow in a downspout roght off to clean it.

I did 4 today with just a backpack blower and a rake. Took me about an hour.

Ladder, Hand-held-blower. We service about 25 houses with gutter cleaning. We also charge a 150.00 minimum due to the liability.payup

Doesnt the blower make a mess, getting all over the house?

it makes a mess on the ground. never saw any on the houses yet. the most important thing is to be careful not to blow the shingles off! LOL I just rake up the mess.
