This green ZEP cleaner is good stuff. My hands are clean smooth and soft after using.
I have used lava my whole life. I have tried this and that but always go back to lava.
I have been happy with some cherry scented degreasing hand cleaner with pumice. Don't recall the name but auto parts store around here sell it. In a 1 quart (or so) hand pump container.
Simliar to gojo but with pumice and smells better and doesn't seem to break down after a few months ..
Santis/ or cintas if in your area. My uncle uses them frequently forever. Have that real gritty hand scrub. Have a leftover floating around if anyone wants to see, don't think so as not that interesting lmao
I’ve had pretty good luck with GoJo.

I've done it, but it is not recommended AT ALL.
I've use Dawn with a little brush... I can see why the sugar would work, just like pumice....
I remember as a kid watching my grandmother sprinkle Comet into her hands, get them a little wet, and start “lathering”.
Tough ol’ farm girl.
