A one gallon hand sprayer was tested (Chapin brand).
It was pressurized with 40 pumps. Water was sprayed into a measuring cup up to 4 ounces, and time required was measured with a stopwatch. Tested three times. Calculations showed output was 1.8 seconds per ounce, (which is .55 ounces per second).

Coverage, spraying water on concrete (three trials) and converting sqft per quart to sqft per gallon...was 624 square feet per gallon.

Of course, varriables like nozzle, pressure and walking speed, and how thoroughly the concrete is wetted will affect your results.

What are your results with your brand of hand sprayers? How many seconds to spray 4 ounces of solution? Be sure to dump the weed solution back into the tank when finished, of course.
