Eat well, enjoy the day!
Happy turkey day everyone!
Food , football , family and friends. Dosnt get much better then that.
Do you guys all do the traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole thing? Or do you shake things up? Last year we did a stripped bass with scallop stuffing along with turkey. This year we are going to my cousins and I think it's going to be standard fare with exception of my baked stuffed bay scallops.
Usually also do a ginzo plate either stuffed shells or lasagnia. This yr its only 4 ( maybe 6 ) of us so just turkey potatoes and squash ( from my garden ) peas , corn. stuffing .
celery , a little bell peppers , onion , walnuts , dried cranberries bacon , ham and stuffing mix.
Just the wife and I, so I'm doing a killer roast (with lots of red wine), mashed red potatoes with roasted garlic, and gingered carrots. I usually make a delicious sourdough bread stuffing, using fresh rosemary sourdough bread from WholeFoods. Going to be 67 degrees today, so either a hike or a motorcycle ride this morning.
67!!! I think it’s still 27* here
We've had plenty of cold weather with plenty of freeze damage. But not today!!!
Homemade pepper steak, with too much garlic.
