Overall Service Autopilot seems to fit well with my business needs. I am just having trouble accepting their start-up fee. Their pricing outline seems a bit scammy to me. I probably will just end up going with SA anyways because it is so difficult to find a good CRM.

I've been with SAP since almost their beginning. I tried to get them to waive fee for going to automations and no they wouldn't. For what you get it's still worth every dollar. I still probably don't use half of what I pay for.

I've never used Service AutoPilot, but have you tried Yardbook, Jobber, LMN?
I spent a lot of time testing out both Yardbook and Jobber. Yardbook has a free platform and Jobber has a two-week free trial. Surprisingly, I think I preferred Yardbook over Jobber. Yardbook is focused in the lawn care and landscaping industry whereas Jobber can be used for a variety of different industries. Yardbook has almost everything you would need for your lawn care business and the best part, it's mostly free! Jobber, on the other hand, can cost anywhere from $40 to $129 a month if you pay monthly, they offer a discount if you pay for the year. Yardbook has almost everything I need but I was missing a bit more customization which Service Autopilot offers. SA doesn't offer any sort of trial or demo instead you have to book an appointment with one of their sales reps, wait anywhere from a few days to a week, and go through an hour-long zoom/sales presentation. Really annoying! That alone made me not want to go with them and I'm sure I'm not the only person that feels this way. In the end, their platform has what I need so I'm going to give them a shot.

Agreed. SAP does have a lot of features I will not need but overall it's fairly affordable for what you get. They really need to work on their pricing/business strategy because they are driving a lot of potential business away. The startup fee, extra cost for client portal, extra cost for extra mobile users, extra cost if you want estimation software so on, and so on. Just bundle it in the initial price. Also, give us the ability to demo the platform and not have to sit through an awful sales pitch.

Im going to go the other way here. Why would they bundle it all in once price when many people dont want or need all that? If you didn't want to use the customer portal why would you want to pay for it. I have no idea howtheir pricing is, but i know real greens pricing and its very simular I believe. I would go as far to say SAP took note on how RealGreen doestheir pricing and followed suit. You only pay for what you want to use. Which in many times nickles and dimes you but it is what it is.

The start up fee most likely includes the initial install and xfer of data, as well as some training?

I will say it REALLY sucks not being able to actually demo, Real Green was the same way. No true demo, only a salesman showing you how good the software is, not actually HOW to do things or the flow of stuff. I would find someone that has it and see if theyll do a zoom meeting and go through exactly what you want to know.

Real green actually changed their pricing model not that long ago

the trouble with "extra this , extra that"
Is that the customer can't say "I want everything , how much for everything" and they give you a straight answer
That's not just SAP

"well yousee if you stand on one foot and it's Wednesday and you fire that one lady in the office it's x price, but if it snows of Thursday then it's that price and if Biden gets elected here's this monthly surcharge..."

I think it's because you're dealing with new sales people and even they don't know what the price is ... that's how confusing thepricing structure is.

onevof the CRMs I talked to based their cost off how many customers you have!?
Does that mean locations? Or customers?
If I do the US post office that's 50 locations but one customer
I think they meant locations but even the guy didn't really know

that's the problem
The first thing I want to know is how much does it cost
I don't want to waste three hours learning your features to realize this is out of my budget range.

Same here it was just under 1% now that we added automations it's a little over. To have all that for a penny for every dollar we bring in is well worth it to me. The routing in time and gas money saved probably pays for half the system costs.
