I was just wondering if any of you have tried to advertise in food stores on their bulletin board. I checked them out today and I only saw one landscaping flyer but none of the numbers were ripped off of it? If any of you tried this did you get a good response?
I hope I get a better responce then the other guy but who knows if his flyer could have only been there for an hour. I kinda feel like this is cheesy advertising but i need to rack up some accoutns.

Here is the flyer that i'm putting up tomorrow.

You really want someone calling you "any time"?

When I first started my lawn co. I tried that and the local free flyer want ads. I think you will have a poor response rate, and the ones that do call are just looking for who is the cheapest. Or they just want a one time service for when there mower has been in the shop for the past month and the grass is a foot tall.

SAME DEAL HERE IT DIDNT WORK OUT. I EVEN WENT AS FAR AS TEARING A COUPLE OF THE NUMBERS OFF MYSELF TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE PEOPLE WERE INTERESTED.

I do have cards placed at local food stores and never have had very many calls.

I put out 200 flyers in the past 2 days and already have 4 appointments. One called at 6:30 this evening.

I made the flyer and put it into a 4x9 white envelope, and stapled
it shut with one of my business cards.

I delivered 100 to neighborhoods less than 10 years old.

I delivered 100 to a neighborhood that is about 30-40 yrs old.

The long envelope was placed behind the mailbox flag,by my daughter who made 10 cents each.

wow is that legal? behind the mailbox flag? that is a great idea.
The houses in my area are kinda far apart though so it was a pain to do.

I don't cut grass, I only do Landscaping and Trees

So one job is worth the effort .

I bought the envelops from the dollar store, 70 for $1.00

I paid 8 cents a copy for the flyers

10 cents delivery for each flyer

    :)
