I have a 1984 Chevy K10 350 'L' and the dreaded 'A.I.R.' system in California. I NEED (want) headers badly. Doug Thorley seems to have the only decent ones available that are smog legal. I looked into the Edelbrock one's, but heard about weld cracking happening on them too much. Is there anyone out there that may have a good used pair for sale or know of another manuf. that makes these type? The DT headers cost $510 new.

    Thanks,
    Steve

You poor guys in states that do smog inspections....... In your case I'd say go for the DT's if you can. They have a great track record, and a lifetime waranty I believe. I am running headman's on my truck, and they work, but are not smog legal. You could also get an exhaust shop to put the air tubes on the headers, and get the ones of your choice. Good luck, let us know what you go with.
