I tried spraying Fluid Film 1Gal with 1500 PSI handheld Power Painter and it didn't work too well. The spec for the painter says 30 cps max and it worked Ok for house paint ... now I tried to use DIN cup to measure viscosity of fluid film and it would not flow at all.

I just looked up NAS viscosity spec on http://www.eurekafluidfilm.com/about/tech_data.html and it says 3,200-6,400cps... it would be pretty difficult to atomize this stuff

Can I heat Fluid Film to ~100C/200F in a double boiler, would this significantly improve flow without risk fire?

I need it for car underbody - I ended up using up a spray can this time, but would like to find an inexpensive solution to spray the bulk stuff

Ross, we've never tried to heat it up for atomization purposes. The bulk flash point of Fluid Film is 405F.

I know I've heard good things about using a Wagner paint sprayer.

I hope any sprayers that work well for spraying Fluid Film will be shared by other members.
