I have a 18' Big tex trailer and it has 3500# axles. The back hanger bracket is now bottoming out on our rough roads here in Illinois. Sometimes i have to load the back of the trailer heavier than the front. I know the leaf srings are getting worn out. i was wondering if anyone has replaced their leaf springs with ones slightly heavier ones. i know i am restricted by axle weight but having slightly heavier springs may help with loading the back of the trailer heavier than the front.

just replaced the whole suspension on my enclosed today. it had the 1700 lb leaf springs on it, and they put on 2400 lb ones to replace the worn out old ones. they are much beefier and didnt cost that much more. trailer rides smoother and sits a little higher now.
