i had to install a new upper blade on a set of redmax hedge trimmers. i went over the machine many times to try to fix this. THE BLADES WONT MOVE. is there a certain trick to installing the blades back on. when you hit the button to give it gas, nothing happens. the blades move very very very slowly.

Try leaving the BOLTS a quarter turn loose, and then crank the NUTS as tight as you can without turning the BOLTS. There should be some play in the washers. (Your bolts are threaded into the giude bar.) Its kinda of a tricky thing to explain without seeing them. Try it and let me know.

Down load the owner's manuel from Redmax and install accordinly. My Echo has specification of 1/2 turn back off.
