Hedge trimmer question

    Were would you bring you hedge trimmer blades to have them shapened if you can even sharpen them ?

    any place that would sharpen mower blades.....or you could use a dremmel if you have one.

    dremmel is the best answer. i have used a file and it takes way too long. i can even use a hand grinder but dont recommend it due to the ease of damage to the teeth

    Just bought a 45.00 drimmel at home depot and it works great for sharpening the blades.two sharpenings and it pays for itself.

    i got a dremmel. its pretty expensive to have them sharpened at the dealers

    and how long does it take YOU to sharpen a hedge trimmer blade? 5 minutes?

    the right way, not half assed

    i find it best to take the blades off the machine, put them in a vise, and then go about sharpening. with that in mind, about 30 min or so

    It took me about 15 minutes with someone else holding the trimmer for me.
    I think it will be best to remove the blades next time.
