I use an echo pole trimmer for most big jobs. For small jobs I use a Black & Decker $50 electric corded trimmer that I have used too many years to count. Yes the cord is a pita. BUT..... It's light, less vibration, no fumes, no gas, zero and I mean ZERO maintenance. Stays sharp and starts every time.

I have a Husquavarna now, think it’s a HD145, not commercial either, does well, it’s about 3 years old and has gotten worked more recently. I’ll check out the Stihl

we have several echo HC152. Can't beat the price and we run them HARD!! electric or battery wouldn't hold up to the abuse we put them through. On average our hedge trimmers see 260-280 jobs per year. For the price they can't be beat!
