What is the best formula for estimateing hedges? Size, Hourly etc.
Best one is the one that will maximize your profit. SOme charege by the linear foot, some by the hour. I'd say charge by the job becuase every situation is different, due to accessability and travel times, dump fees etc. jmy.02
Some on here do trimming by the shrub, I figure how longh it will take and add the extra time to cleanup, the cleanup always takes longer than you think. I multiply time by hourly rate. I do not tell customers the hourly rate, because they don't care if you have a 500.00 hedge trimmer or a 5 dollar pair of hand trimmers, they would freak out at the hourly rates. But I do extra work for people by the hour and do not get too much slak from it.
