Help, Hustler Super or Trim Star
Tomorrow I was going down to buy a TrimStar 48"/17 Hydro
I demoed it and like it a lot
and I plan on running a proslide on it.
    Out the door = 4599.00

Got a call from another dealer (same distance) who said he had a couple "Supers".
48"/23. Said he bought them specifically for New England Hills.
    Electric start
    Out the door= 6550.00

Is the Supers that much better of a machine?
Does anyone regret getting the TrimStar over the Super?
    Any input is appreciated

    Thanks in advance

I really want to run this machine with a Proslide or Bull rider
since the Hustler Sulky/Striper is not getting great reviews.
It does lay down one hell of a stripe though.

Hustler Super Walkbehinds are no longer made......they're built like tanks and many people fussed about seeing them go.

If you can get one at a good price, go for it! Betcha there will be people sending PM's to you asking where that dealer is.

That is what the dealer said
He has them out for 6550.00
    2000.00 for than the trimstar
    Is it worth it

I don't remember what they sold for; post a message in the Hustler forum here on Lawnsite and see what PJ says.....

First, that's one heck of a mower, it's built like a tank. I'll never go back to pistol grips again. $6550 is list on that Super Walk, go back and try to get that price down some more. Good luck.

I can only see 2 HP and electric start,,,but there must be more

I have a Trimstar 48/17 Hydro with the P/S, absolutly love it!.I did install a mulch kit, cuts well. The P/S works good, but I'm on the heavy side so it does drain the power. The controls are great! Good Luck!!

Do you think you would do better with the Bull rider or possibly the
    Hustler Sulkie/striper

    Hi Allan,
I bought my 54/25hp mowers for $6500 each- I don't really see paying $2k more for 6 hp (plus you willl have to buy a brake kit for the mower as well $200+)
Pm me who you talked to- Did they say the hydro system is different on the 2mowers?
I wouldn't think twice about getting the trim star- as I said awhile ago it has some features that mine don't have.
A 2 wheeled sulky will work well with the 17 hp. It will stripe very well as well.

Your still welcome to come down and try mine.

I spent a lot of time this week on the trimstar and decided to go that way.
I also demoed the Hustler sulkie/striper. It also pulled me pretty well
    The lines were awesome.
If I go that route, I am thinking proslide
but with only 17 hp, I am thinking bull rider
    I will PM you tonight
Time to put this deal to bed
