I was hoping that someone might identify the variety of 鈥渃reeping thyme鈥 or phlox I鈥檓 sure it鈥檚 in that family, just trying to nail down, in preparation for sowing on a slope, where I currently have geraniums that have outlived there attractiveness.

Guess I was wrong鈥.thanks to all who chimed in鈥.I guess I will go with my first inclination, that being 鈥淩ed Creeping Thyme鈥
Any suggestions for prepping soil and planting on the slope in my photo?

@hal , I think it might be that the poster means, that even though, and while it is not what they thought it was-creeping red thyme, red thyme is what they鈥榣l prefer to use.

Wow.... sorry I didn't look in on this sooner. Pretty much everyone is wrong here. That plant is Delosperma Cooperi.
