We looked at starting up in Vegas at one time, the "Green Valley area" but the problem we found was there are so many gated communities and most of them are currently using one company to service the whole community and those companies have been doing work in the area for a long time that it's hard to get a foot in the door.

The other problem we ran into was there are so many people down there going to zero scaping and those that have lawns have a very small portion of actual lawn to mow. You literally could be in and out within ten minutes of most those yards.

As far as pricing goes it's going to vary from property to property, the properties I was looking at in Green Valley were going to be charged $30 per visit for weekly mowing of the small lawns and weed control of the zero scaping areas.

Lawn service in the desert. That is about as comical as my last post for the guy wanting to start a lawn biz in San Diego.
