    Hello all,
This is my 4th year in lawn business. I am in between my 1st and 2nd year of college. In a year or two, I will be unable to continue my business due to working with internships for grad school. My business partner and I were brainstorming about different options that we have. We were thinking about getting two crews, with two employees per truck and having them take care of the lawns. We would still have the company under our name, so we would still receive a nice check after each month. We currently have 35 lawns. We just bought a trailer, and are looking for some bigger mowers. But, I was just wondering if anyone has gone through this step of not mowing themselves anymore but just managing the business and allowing some other kids (high scool or other college kids) to cut our lawns while we spend time expanding the biz. I was also wondering how the income is split up. I mean these crews would be doing all of the work, but the company is still in our name. So I was just curious as to what % the crews got versus our %. Do we pay them hourly or a % of each lawn that they cut. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks.

I would suggest reading the "is it lowballing or is it smart" thread in it's entirety. Good luck!
