    This is my first real mulching estimate so if you could look over it and let me know what you think whether i'm charging to much or too little. A few things that you may want to know she is supplying the plastic edging. Its only for part of the beds where she tore it out. All of the beds need weeded, some parts need the black felt taken out and taken away. The lawn is flat so it wont be to hard to get around. Let me know what you think thanks for all responses.

    Area = 1700 Sq ft.

    1" = 6 cu yards
    2" = 12 cu yards
    3" = 18 cu yards
    Installing 125 ft of plastic edging
    Applying snapshot
    Delivery of mulch and sand

    Black dyed mulch @ $40 yd
    1" - 6 yards = $240 2" - 12 yards = 480 3" - 18 yards = 720

    Installing mulch @ $45 yard
    6 yards = $270 12 yards = $540 18 yards = $810

    Installing 125 feet of plastic edging

    Snapshot 50 lb bag $105.00
    10 lbs. for 2,000 sq ft.

    1/2 yard of sand for under limestone

    Total Estimate:

    1" = $675
    2" = $1,185
    3" = $1,695

    Your estimate seems to complicated..

    I charge $100.00 per yard delivered and spread go by how much you need delivered not by how deep you are going to spread it. Mulch by me costs about 19.00 per yard so after that it is $81.00 per yard for gas and my time and effort.

    Would $100 a yard include applying the preemergent and plastic edging?
    Thanks for the reply

    No the edging is your hourly rate! That is the pre-mulch process. I really never use the plastic edging though..
