I need to bid on a lot that is roughly 1/2 acre. It has a bed thats 20ft long in the front and a wall in the back. The whole yard is about 10 degrees from the sidewalk up the back yard. Meaning its all a hill but slight slope. Theres also about 5 trees or so to trim around. I was thinking $45 for a bid? Shouldn't take me more than 45 minutes. Any suggestions if i should go higher? I can mow the whole thing with my 48.

$45 sounds about right, I guess. It doesn't sound like it is a complicated estimate. Why would you need help on this?

i would charge $62.71, to cut bag & trim, but with the steep hill $70.00, if they just want it cut & trimmed I would charge $54.24, but again has a big hill $59.87 w/out bagging, good luck:weightlifter:

95% of my yards are 1/8th to 1/4th size. The last 1/2 acre i bid on was $45 and i underbid my time but it has 3x the obsticles, the other one the customer didn't like my price and I wouldn't budge so lost them. So im new to bidding 1/2+ yards and I want to get my prices consistent. I was just seeing what you all would charge to see if I should bump this price up. Thanks! (no bagging, just trim, mow and blow)

I am around RobC's price. But you should know that every geographic area is not the same. for exhample my average mowing prices are 3X the price on average than the mowing prices in Fl

I totaly agree, when I mow in illinois I get around $50.00-$60.00 1/2 acre, but when I am in my wealthy area in st.louis I would get 75.00 sometimes 100.00 for a 1/2 acre, my buddy who runs out i arkansas only get $35.00-$40.00 for a 1/2 acre if he is lucky. One thing u should always do is start high and if u have to lower from there, I charge $115.00-$125.00 a hr and have a 32.00 minimum cut price no matter how small it is.
