One of the big companies??? You are one of the big companies.
I really like the look of 3 trucks and trailers that are nearly identical! There is one outfit here in town that has 2 or 3 rigs that are pretty similar, everyone else just has kinda a random bunch of stuff.
I went down to Austin last year to pick up a piece of equipment and to talk with Mr Hess over lunch. A big company in Austin is 10-20 crews if I remember correctly. The Hess's run 4 crews and an irrigation truck if I remember correctly.
Thats crazy!! here 4 crews is a massive operation but having 20 crews thats just amazing
Good thing you didn't see the other two trucks and trailers. One is closed trailer 15 years old and the other one is small two wheel trailer. They are in my 2011 thread. One of my sons does irrigation repair full time and he just got a new white long chev van. Before that we had a black Ford van that
was a nice van until we gutted it for irrigation. It was a 94 but ac still worked good.
This kinda interesting. When we took over this property 7 years ago the irrigation wasn't working on these media. So I rigged up battery powered controllers on the seven valves on three different medias. Well this last winter my son found all the intial wiring and we hooked on one of these new battery powered controllers. This makes programming and sprinkler checks go a lot faster. That big bus in the second picture is about half way along the strip. We had to use walkie talkie for the hook up. These are obviously latching selenoids. The only problem is the seventh one is just a little toooo far and it won't latch up. But we got six working. When the city came in and put in stop lights on the other end apparently they cut the lines to the controller that is on the side...we was't caring for property then. You know that gas don't look very good since I killed all the weeds
Cant people just randomly come and mess with it thought since its out in the opening like that?
Yes and eventually they will steal it but ...then we will have to put it
in a storm shelter. This is a heavy travelled road. We have around 20 controllers on these properties so they could take em all I guess.
Kinda dodged a bullet when that piece of wood stuck behind the fan pulley. Notice how it turned the belt. Well turing the belt back over involved everthing right up to and including pulling he flywheel cover on the front bottom. I didn't have a spare belt because when I went to order it during the winter nobody could find a number and they said NOBODY ever needs to replace it. Took me about 3 hours to get that belt fixed and the stuff back on.
Contractor planted this on a contruction site and did NO follow up watering...I'd like to see if I can get thsi to come out--its bermuda
