I have been assigned the task of hiring and firing employees this year. I was wondering what kind of questions that need to be asked by people who have done interviews before? And does anyone here have employee handbooks that they give to prospective employees and what about drug tests? And what is the best way to find out if someone really has experience other than having them try out for the job, I have even thought about that, having guys show up and kind of have a try out and see if they know what they are doing before they are hired. Also, do you start them out low and tell them if they hang around for two weeks they will get a bump in pay? Any insight or any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
