Hand Wood Boats and boating--Equipment and supplies Font Recreation

I thought I might have been missing the key, but no…I got the button to pop up. But it did not release…
So apparently the bearing keepers are stuck. I sprayed it with some penetratrol, tried some brake fluid…even WD-40….put a pry bar on it. Tapped it w a hammer….still stuck. It’s marinating in some more penetrol right now.
Any ideas before I breakdown and get the angle grinder?

Vinegar in a spray bottle, shouldn’t take too long. years back I purchased a truck with a hitch rusted in, soaked it with all kinds of crap, tapped it, pulled on it- only to have someone tell me to try straight vinegar which worked it free in like 30 minutes.

That made me laugh because I just had my vehicle in the garage and my mechanic was banging hard on something, trying to get it free, when he suddenly dropped the hammer, reached for a torch, and said exactly what that meme says at the bottom!
A few seconds later and the part was free.

Good luck!

Two most popular mechanics tools in the salt belt are a BFH and a torch.
