This season we are bidding on several nice HOA properties. We have found out that we need to also include a bid for "POND MAINT" as well. 1. Do we need to be licensed to do this? 2. Whats the going rate...if ya know? 3. Has any one had any experience and if so...what tips can you offer? Thanks!

What's the scope of the pond mx they're looking for?

I am getting requests for ponds as well. I have built two as a special project. What is a going price for maintenance?

If you are going to be applying aquatic herbicides you need to have a pesticide applicator's license and pass the aquatics portion of the test. The going price for maintenance is going to vary according to where you work. The rate in Chicago,IL is probably going to be higher than in Peducah, KY. An HOA is probably going to want a set price for start up and shut down (if you are in a northern climate). See if you can sub it out the first year to get a feel for what it will cost.
