Recently purchased the above model for my first home and yesterday, I pulled the pull string right out of it. After taking a part the housing to get to where the string was attached, I cannot figure out how to reassemble it. Anyone know how or where a diagram can be found?

Take the blasted thing back el pronto! If this was your first day with it,just think how many headaches are still to follow.Never buy Homey or MCcrap,if you want a cheapee do yourself a favor and get 'Weedeater' for $99.They'll give you at least 5 trouble free yrs as a home user.

Must be said though for anyone taking me up on the 'Weedater' purchase, plz Pm me for removing the stupid two-line system and grinding spool down for a one liner system instead.Been doing this to all my junky weedeaters since '94 and way more practical then the clogging 2 liner system.

go get a stihl, echo, shin, redmax and enjoy many many years of trouble free use.two lines are allways better than one but you need power to spin them. shoot stihl makes a homeowner line trimmer for less than 139.00 usd echo also has one. go to a dealer and he will help you with your choice. stay away from the big box stores they sell things not fix them.

D'oh what you wanna go do that for:hammerhead:
Now if your machine is like 99% of all others get the spring and rope pulley fitted first, forget about the rope tension till this is done. When the spring and pulley are fitted the rope can be feed through the pulley and tensioned.
Sorry it's hard to explain but if you can get a diagram from their site it might help.
Good luck my friend Phil :)

Oh, I'm F-ed! I got this POS 26ss last season (2007) and it started to have problems before it was even over (after like the 3rd use). It's not running well, extremely hard to start and doesn't operate the way it should in each position (full, half-choke, and run). I shoulda bought an Echo, etc.! Now, I don't know what to do with this thing...I heard somewhere that they develop "pinholes" in the carb, is that true? I just want to get this running decent so I can sell it...

Yeah, I've heard the Box stores have things made cheaply by the big "reputable" companies so they can sell them by the millions...

When I DO get the good weed trimmer, I want one that is easy to reload cutting line, and certainly one that "ratchets" out easily (I mean when you want to lengthen the cutting line when it becomes too short)

Oh, just take it to the range and wack a couple of 45's in it. You'll feel sooooo good after. Do empty the fuel first.

Actually for giggles i went & retrived it yesterday.Just looking at it again brought all sorts of nightmares back again with it's statring issues and chain coming off and nearly doing what a Gillette razor was intended to do.I could never get that blasted chain to stay tightened for more than 20-30mins..what a horrible invention my Mc was.

I f you were local Lawnmowertech37 i would give you this tonka toy from china, but NC mine as well be on the moon for such shipping nonsenses.
