I kind of made this as a little project knowing it may or may not turn out. it turns out that it works great and I've lined up a crap load of work for it already without even trying. I had no idea these things could be so profitable. For what I'm spending on fert., seed, and paper mulch I make a killing and customers love the price as well.

My total cost was in the first post of the link, I think $1,130. My rate is about .15 sq ft
My cost per full tank in material is around $75-80 and a full tank pays about $350. It only takes about 10 minutes to run a tank thru. I scored a bigger job thats going to be about 4 tanks at one location so for that one I came down to about $300 per tank. Still a ton of profit for not much work.

What is agitating the mix? I don't know much about hydroseeding, but I am pretty sure something has to stir the pot.
Post some pics of it in action. I would like to build one.

Can you PLEASE size down your pics and post some more? I would love to see what you have done, but the HUGE pic makes it tough!

The same pump that pushes it thru the hose agitates it as well. Thats the reason for the valves. Use the pump to cycle it thru for a few minutes to mix it well and open the valve to the hose to spray it. Those wanting more pics will have wait. I'm doing my first this weekend and I'll get some pics of the results then.

Where did you buy your spray gun from? Also what is your current mix? I have a honda trash pump and a 300gallon tank and i am going to make a unit just like yours. Thanks for the ideas and the help!!
Have you had success in your jobs?
What kind of seed do you use?

    Sorry for all the questions
