Again, without the whole model number, I can't give you a completely accurate answer. I looked up a 214 and a new inlet needle and spring are about $20 retail. The carb has a pressed in plastic seat and the diagram I looked at doesn't show a replacement. Pull the carbs off of both units and compare parts. It may be a possibility that the needle in the old carb is the same and if its in good condition you may be able to use it. It also may be wise to check the float. If it has any fuel on the inside that condition will not allow the needle to shut of the fuel supply to the bowl.
