Anyone have experience on the new Honda GX35 35cc 4 cycle engine used in the HHT35 Honda string trimmer or bushcutter?
    1) Can it run in all position? upside down?
    2) How is the reliability, does the timing belt give any potential problem?
    3) Anyone use 4 cycle Honda trimmers, how is it?

    1) Yes you can.
    2) The timing belt is rated the same as their cars timing belts which is 100,000 miles. You wont have issues. (or VERY unlikely)
    3) Nice machine, quiet, good power, can use the .105 line, lifetime shaft warranty, etc.

hello, have owned the earlier version [ohv] 4-5years and had the ohc versions for at least 12mths .

DO NOT OPERATE UPSIDE DOWN --on the side it is ok .

The engines cannot control there oil very well . Oil is consumed and or comes out the breather . Normally this would not matter but the oil capacity is small 100mls [3ounces] so this situation is life threatening to the engine . Operate on side only .

If u operate a bump feed head u can wear the drive shAft and clutch drum out. I change mine every 1-2 years

Do not overlube cutting head 3-4 times per year . Every mth and u will fill the main shaft tube !!

Overall a good trimmer and enough power for 90 % of jobs . Very reliable .
