I bought a very dirty Honda HRS-21 mower. It is hard to start- must be choked even once warm. It ran fine when I got it. I power washed the filthy underside, changed oil, put in a new spark plug with proper gap. Following this, it would not start unless I poured gas directly into the cylinder. Once that was spent, it would quit. I proceeded to take the carb, air cleaner housing, etc. all apart and clean thoroughly. Put it all back together and it runs now with choking at startup, but runs very rough with an inconsistent speed. Could this be due to: 1) Moisture in the coil/ignition wire connection under the deck from the powerwashing. 2) The current state the mower is in without the blade on (being sharpened). Gas is new, gas tank has been washed out, carb has been cleaned out. Thanks!!
