How many of you guys do any bush hogging of property?

    How do price this work?

I have a customer which has a number of fields, typical sqaure pasture. no hills, no ditches.

What would be your "hourly rate" ?? for this kind of work?

I get 45.00/hr with a minimum of 75.00. By the acre, I get 20.00/acre with a 75.00 minimum. This is an 8' brushog. With a smaller tractor and a 5' brushog, I get the same price, but I only charge a 50.00 minimum.:)

I got average of $35/hour on last job I did with two people on garden tractors (wouldn't have made enough on it to justify renting a big tractor and bush-hog) and it was 2 acres and not too high. Paid helper about 8/hour. Chop and go job no trim. Also did about an acre of front yard so I got $100 for an afternoon's work, all in one stop:D  wasn't even required to fire up the trimmer because he's an 'occasional' customer who only has me do it when he's gone or his mower is broke down. He said hold the trim for less price. OK with me!
