today was rut city for me.. even though we have not had rain for two days my entire route today had soft back yards.. (the front were not as bad)

Do you guys still use your ztr and big walk behinds when yard are very soft?

Do you have any tips on how to avoid rutting in these conditions..

    thanx in advance?

One more comment.. a couple crews here in town are using walkers.. i have never seen them leave ruts or wheel marks.. even in wet or soft conditions.. why????

You cannot prevent ruts when the ground is soaked, just do not mow if conditions do not permit. Customer calls explain to them what it would look like all rutted out vs seven inches high.

Same, if it is just damp, let the machine glide over it as fast as possible. Try not to apply any pressure to the machine while it is over thee wet spot (assuming a wb).
