I finally got around to change the oil seal on my 8 HP B&S, (Model: 195707 Type: 0121 01). How deep do I set the oil seal? The well is almost twice as deep as the oil seal is high. The old oil seal was flush with the top, but it was installed over 10 years ago, who knows how deep it was originally.

    Thanks for the help!!

    OK MM,

The manual states to install this seal flush. BUT, I like to install them .010"-.012" deeper to get the outer part of the seal away from the leading taper of the block for more sealing surface. [IMG] :waving:
