I've been through a year now of small to medium residential accounts. Their mowing frequency varies. Some want it every 10 days, every 14 days or every 7 days.

I'm wondering what I should quote new commercial accounts at? 7 days? Or does it vary depending on the customer? I'll be going after the small - medium sized commercial accounts. Also what do they expect for billing? Every month?

Any other tips for quoting getting commercial business? What do commercial customers look for in a lawn service? Thanks!

Commercial clients are going to expect the "full package" which should include: weekly lawn maintenance, pruning shrubs, weed control, fertilization, sprinkler system startup shutdown repairs & adjustments. Other items may include flowers, mulch & snow removal.

They are also going to expect you to be licensed, insured & a certified applicator if your treating weeds, insects & lawn diseases.

Depends really though...'commercial' could mean a $1 mil+ account or the gas station down the street.

A lot of them will tell you what they want done yearly.
