I see a lot of other companies on here talking about doing mailings of like 5,000 - 10,000. Just wondering how they come up with these addresses, I usually do a mail out but no where near theses numbers. Are they paying a company to find these addresses or looking them up in the phone book or just driving around in areas they wish to advertise? What are the costs involved I have been to citydirectory.com and the prices seem really high. Any help would be great!!!

You'll pay anywhere from $200 up to $1000 for a list that size, depending on how focused you want the list.

In my first year I decided to just do a reverse address lookup on the internet and translate the names into a database. It was free, but took 5-10 hours to do it all.

This year though I am going to hire a service since I don't want just any joe-blow customer.

If it's your first year I'd keep the costs low and concentrate on getting any leads you can. Good luck!
