Plant some dune grass.

Almost every resort that I have been to, which was located off the ocean beach, if they had a pool near by, they had a decent planting area between the two which help act as a barrier.
Buy some bayberry, northern or southern.(edit :meant or wax myrtle).. and like 2 blue lyme grasses for every 200 feet : ) : )
