I removed the wheel and the axel nut, but can't get the hub off to expose the brake pad. Does anybody know how to do it?

You have to use a puller on them. The hubs tend to rust to the axle and can be a bear to get loose. The puller is basically a heavy flat plate where the studs are nutted and a bolt in the center to jack against the axle itself. Some times they take a few good smacks on the center bolt with a 16 pound sledge to get them freed. Penetrating oil on the hub also helps. When using the puller, be sure to leave the axle nut on but loose. Otherwise when it breaks free, it can fly across the room.

Good luck. I have one now I am trying to get off a Great Dane. I have tried every thing but C-4.
