Ive been using regular 60" Z's for a while and want to know how you can tell what the biggest width that you can use on a particular lawn is. What kind of lawn would qualify for a wing mower? does it have to be really smooth or just open enough to get the thing in and around?

How many acres are you mowing ?? Wing mowers are usually used for open recreation fields, or very large open areas !!

I would say unless your cutting larger (like municipal lots or school athletic fields) and lots of them, a 60-72" Z should do the job.
