As the title says, how is this brand able to charge substantially less than the other brands?
Selling direct eliminates distributors and dealers. End user pays the freight. Smaller company with less overhead. Likely use some less expensive components: pulleys, etc.
And, they may be satisfied with a lower profit margin.
They buy mostly old discarded designs. Reliable but outdated
I'm picking up (2) 48" hydro WB later this week. I'm planning on starting a thread to provide reviews and ongoing thoughts.
I won't be using the mowers personally but will obviously test them out and the crew will keep me informed. For the money, I've got to give it a shot. If they suck, we'll make them back up units.
No salesman to pay, lack of money in dealer support, basic machines, (which I like,) lack of middle men, etc.
I should also mention that we are actually driving to the factory to get them direct. It's about 9 hrs from us. If we like these, we'll likely have them shipped if we buy more next season. I like the idea of seeing the factory and being able to get as close a look as possible.
If you don't mind driving you can get parts guaranteed in 18 hours!
I've got the one pictured in my avatar 36" belt drive walk behind, great machine for the price
Keep us updated on how that visit goes. I am looking at their 48 stander.
If I drive my Prius like that fella in the other post....It will only take me like 3 hours!
